When produce ripens on the plant, it generates rich flavours and juiciness. Sure the produce in the grocery stores looks pretty, and is firm, but that’s because it is immature and tasteless.
Our choice to not use pesticides is both a personal choice and an altruistic action. We don’t want to spray or eat pesticides, and we certainly don’t think you should either. You can get organic produce in the grocery store, but you better be prepared to pay a premium.
Because we don’t use pesticides we spend more hours in the field than most farmers, and that costs us. When you bump elbows and shopping baskets in the grocery store and many other farm markets to buy your produce, you are filling the pockets of many, many middlemen.
